July 13-15 - Cayman Brac with Reef Divers

11 lucky ADA divers enjoyed the pristine waters of beautiful Cayman Brac last week enjoying the lovely resort and three dives a day.

Dive Sites we visited the latter part of the week included Mixing Bowl, Jackson's Reef & Wall, Butterfly Reef, a night dive at Buccaneer Reef, Schoolhouse Reef, Lynns, Altantis and Radar Reef.  

Seas 1-2', visibility 100+', water temp 86-88 degrees. Profiles range from 40' reef dives to 110'+ wall dives. Incredibly clear, warm water, superior visibility, a plethora of marine life surrounds towering coral formations and steep walls including numerous turtles, sharks, southern stingrays, spotted eagle rays, eels. Healthy coral reefs with large friendly Nassau Groupers, blue chromis, parrotfish, fairy basslets, sergeant majors, filefish, trunkfish, large yellowtails, creole wrasse, large conch, pufferfish, and more.

July 17 - Boynton Beach with Dolphin Sun

Thanks to ADA member Helen Colby for creating this awesome certificate presented to the 11 ADA divers who became honorary aquanauts on June 25th when they toured the FIU Aquarius Reef Base.
ADA Coral Restoration Foundation Planting Day on September 17th!
In this educational volunteer experience you'll learn how to prepare, grow, harvest, and replant corals on our reef. This full day program includes classroom training, lunch, a two-tank dive trip to the CRF coral nursery, and out-planting baby corals onto the reefs. Saturday, July 23rd: Tanks included! Experience the clear water and abundant marine life of Islamorada, just 4 miles past Tavernier. Here we'll find many colorful tropical fish and other wonderful sea creatures in consistently clear water. This dive is always an ADA favorite and is sure to fill up fast! Sunday, July 31st: Come experience the top Key Largo scuba diving sites such as Molasses Reef, Conch Wall, Davis Ledge, Horseshoe and Hens & Chickens. Here you'll find many morays, schooling tropicals, turtles, the occasional spotted eagle ray, and  unusual pillar corals. Check in at Capt.Slates Atlantis Dive Center in Tavernier at 12:00 noon.

Sunday, August 14th: Choose from a variety of dive sites including Christ of the Abyss statue, the Minnow Caves, the Elbow, Dry Rocks, Shark Reef, Snapper Ledge, and the Benwood shallow wreck - all full of fish and a variety of marine life. Depth 20-30 feet. Check in at Rainbow Reef in at MM100 at 12:00 noon.
