July 26th - Miami Reef with Divers Paradise, Key Biscayne

Dive 1.  Round Window reef, Seas 2-3 feet, Depth 25 feet, visibility 30 feet, Water temp. 85 degrees. A new site, with caves filled with Copper Sweepers,
schooling Blue Runners. Dense corals, many tropicals.

Dive 2.  Emerald reef, Seas 1-2 feet, Depth 25 feet, visibility 30-40 feet, Water temp. 88 near surface, 84 at depth.Threatening storm never developed. Multiple tropicals.

July 20th - North Tavernier with Capt. Slate's Scuba Adventures

Dive 1.  Conch reef, depth 30 feet, visibility 50 feet, seas less than one foot, Water temp. 86 degrees. Sightings included schooling spotted drum (very unusual), permit, Atlantic spadefish, multiple tropicals.

Dive 2. Davis reef, depth 20 feet, visibility 50 feet, seas less than one foot. Water temp. 86 degrees. Sightings include 3 stingrays,1000's of snapper, grunt, goat fish, soldier fish, and a Buddha memorial.

Saturday, August 2nd: Choose from a variety of dive sites including Christ of the Abyss statue, the Minnow Caves, the Elbow, Dry Rocks, Shark Reef, Snapper Ledge, and the Benwood shallow wreck - all full of fish and a variety of marine life. Depth 20-30 feet. Check in at Rainbow Reef in at MM100 at 11:30 a.m.

Key Largo - Night Dive
(When the sun sets, the adventure begins!)

Saturday, August 2nd: - When night falls say hello to a whole new world of squid, walking lobsters, sleeping parrotfish and friendly turtles. Never been on a night dive before? Let us show you how! Check in at Rainbow Reef at 6:00 p.m.

Boynton Beach

(Drift over beautiful reefs!)
Sunday, August 10th: Favorite Boynton reef dives include Horse Shoe, Casino, the Boynton Reef and the Delray Ledges. Typical depths are 45 feet to 60 feet. Clear water and a variety of marine life await on these pristine drift dive sites. Check in at The Scuba Center in Delray Beach at 12:00 noon.

Duane Wreck + BBQ
(Dive one of Key Largo's best!)

Saturday, August 16th: The waters surrounding this wreck sits are so clear because it is closer to the Gulfstream than most wrecks and reefs. Some very large fish such as barracuda, amberjack, and cobia are often spotted swimming around the wreck. Advanced criterion applies. Meet at Florida Keys Dive Center at 12:00 noon.

North Tavernier

(Dive at the new Capt. Slates)
Sunday, August 24th: Yes, after 36 years (1978) Capt's Slates has moved to a new location you will love even more at Mile Marker 90.7 in Tavernier. Along with this comes 25 new beautiful dive sites to explore with many morays, schooling tropicals, turtles, and the occasional spotted eagle ray. Check in at the new Capt. Slates in Tavernier at 12:00 p.m.
