August 6 - Key West Reef with Lost Reef Adventures


Note: The originally scheduled Looe Key dive was transferred to Key West due to mechanical problems with the dive boat. One of many reasons to call for the dive status update/weather check.

Dive 1: Haystacks reef. Seas 1', vis. 40', depth 25', no current. Sightings include giant "bommies", moray eels, file fish, large parrot fish, pork fish, chubs, blue runners, large thick green moray eel..
Dive 2: Cannonball Cut. Seas 1', vis. 40', depth 25', no current.  Sightings include 300 lb.

August 7 - Vandenburg Wreck in Key West with Lost Reef Adventures

Dives 1 & 2: General Hoyt S. Vandenburg wreck double dip. Seas 1', vis. 80', depth 80', no current. Sightings include 30 lb. African pompanos, octopus, schooling cigar minnows, yellow tails, numerous cudas,

ADA Coral Restoration Foundation Planting Day on September 17th!
In this educational volunteer experience you'll learn how to prepare, grow, harvest, and replant corals on our reef. This full day program includes classroom training, lunch, a two-tank dive trip to the CRF coral nursery, and out-planting baby corals onto the reefs. Tenneco Towers
Incredible unique wreck dive.

Sunday, August 28th: the largest artificial reef in southeast Florida was created in 1985 when the Tenneco Oil Company sank five large sections of oil production platforms. Three of the platforms are within recreational diving limits. The soft coral encrusted wreck is home many large pelagic fish. Check in at American Dream at noon.

Boynton Beach (Advanced)
Drift diving over beautiful reefs!

Saturday, September 3rd: Favorite Boynton reef dives include Horse Shoe, Casino, the Boynton Reef and the Delray Ledges. Typical depths are 45 feet to 60 feet. Clear water and a variety of marine life await on these pristine drift dive sites. Check in at Dolphin Sun Charters at 12:00 noon.
