Dive Pricing for 2023

As you know, we try to maintain the cost of our dives as low as possible for our members. But due to inflation and high gas prices, the cost of diving has gone up substantially, with the retail "off the street" price for most dive operators now around $100. So to help address this in 2023, we have priced all of our basic dives with tanks included. No need to pay extra for air tanks or bring your own. Plus we have lowered the cost of insurance to only $5. The 2023 rate for a regular 2-tank dive will be $75 without insurance and $80 with insurance. This new rate is still considerably lower than what our dive shops charge their retail customers. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to a fabulous dive season in 2023!

Cancellation Insurance - Now Only $5 Per Dive Trip

When you go to book a dive, what's that drop down that says "Dive + Insurance"? It's not DAN insurance, but our very own Active Divers trip cancellation insurance.

Active Divers has created a unique concept in local diving: NO FAULT INSURANCE!! For only an additional $5, per person, per local dive trip, members can eliminate the worry of losing their dive fees because of an unforeseen change of plans. If for any reason you are unable to attend a local dive for which you are scheduled and have paid the insurance, Active Divers will credit your dive fee to another date. If you cannot use the credit during the year, then the amount will be refunded after dive season is over. The $5 insurance is non-transferable and non-refundable. When you make a reservation, click on the "Dive + Insurance" link on the Dive Schedule page or if reserving by phone, ask for dive trip cancellation insurance.

Blue Heron Bridge Status for 2023

As you may have heard, the dive beach at the Blue Heron Bridge is temporarily closed due to replacement of the upper bridge deck above the beach. The dive beach closed on March 20 and is not expected to reopen until October 29. The entire diving area is fenced off during this time. So there will not be any dives scheduled for the Blue Heron Bridge this year.

Congratulations to Active Diver Rodolfo Lopez on earning your PADI Divemaster certification. Well done!

Many thanks to Lee and Rosie Wood, our gracious hosts of this year's season opener celebration BBQ in Tavernier. Thank you for your hosptiality!
Season Opener BBQ in the Keys April 29

Due to the Bridge closure, our season opener BBQ has been moved to Tavernier in the Florida Keys and will take place at Active Divers Co-Founder Lee Wood's house, which is located three minutes from Florida Keys Dive Center. The celebration and BBQ will be held right after our first dive of the season on Saturday, April 29. That is also Active Divers President Rachel Davis' birthday, so we have another reason to celebrate. Space is limited to 20 so please RSVP to Rachel at 786-316-9852. Come for the dive and stay for the party!
