Reef Report

Sunday, April 28
South Tavernier with
Florida Keys Dive Center

Dive 1: Paradise Reef

Seas < 1’, water temp 79 degrees, visibility 55’, depth 26’
Sightings included two fairly large nurse sharks, two large green moray eels, blue tang, an octopus (believe it or not during the day), large schools of grunts with parrot fish intermingled, large sea fans, including some juveniles, one large lobster and a live clam!

Dive 2: Hens & Chickens

Seas <1’, water temp 80 degrees, visibility 30’, depth 19’
Sightings included beautiful large pillar corals, a wreck that we did not get the name of, but looked like an old Spanish sailing ship, grey angelfish, more grunts and parrot fish, barracuda and Nassau grouper.
