Reef Report

Tavernier with Florida Keys Dive Center
Saturday, April 29

Dive 1: Crocker Reef - Seas 2 ft, visibility 60 feet, depth 26', water temp 83 degrees. We heard on the boat that this is a site for Capt. Slate's Creature Feature, and that proved out by the sheer number of nurse sharks, southern stingrays and free swimming moray eels around, in addition to an abundance tropical fish in the turquoise blue water.
Dive 2: Davis Ledge - Seas 2-3 feet, visibility 60 feet, depth 25', water temp 83 degrees. This ledge is always a pleasure with large schools of fish all over the ledge and large moray eels. Bright blue parrotfish and pufferfish. A perfect way to kick off the season!
