Dive Season Has
Begun and We Are Diving!
More good news for divers! It was just announced this
week that the checkpoint at Florida City will be
lifted and visitors will be allowed back to the Keys
on June 1st! On Monday night the Blue Heron Bridge
opened up with few crowds and rave reviews for the
diving, with sharks and eagle rays spotted. We
have a lot of great dives planned for this
summer.
As of now, capacity on the dive boats is restricted to
8 passengers. Because of reduced capacity, our dives
are filling up quickly and additional space is
extremely limited.
Special restrictions have been put into place on dive
boats due to COVID-19 until further notice. On all
dives, members must use a face covering (mask) in
place at all times, except when using a regulator. Our
dive boats will carry a maximum of 8 divers and two
crew. Social distancing will be expected at all times,
on boats and on beach-entry dives. Personal hand
sanitizing products or gloves must be used. Following
these procedures, all can enjoy a safe and fun dive.
Note there are just a few days left to renew
your membership at the
early-bird rate of $35 by the extended deadline of May
31.
