What is the Active Divers Sea Turtle Dive?
Florida has the greatest abundance of nesting loggerhead sea turtles in the world, and the height of nesting season is during the months of June and July. This video was taken in Jupiter, an important site for loggerheads, on last year's Sea Turtle Dive. We saw about 20 loggerheads, mostly females during this dive. Numerous turtles rest nearshore atop Loggerhead Reef, waiting for nightfall to go up onto the beach to nest and lay eggs. This special dive will sell out quickly, so book early!
