Dive
1: Crocker Reef - this
is always a beautiful site with tons
of marine life because this is where
Capt. Slate does his shark and eel
feedings. The weather forecast had
predicted 3-4's with occasional 5's
but they got it wrong - it turned out
to be a beautiful day with 2-3'
seas, warm water and excellent viz.
Depth 26, viz 40 feet, water temp 86.
We saw numerous nurse sharks, free
swimming moray eels, channel clinging
crabs, and clouds of grunts and
yellowtails.
Dive
2: Davis Ledge - Seas
2-3', depth 27, viz 40 feet, water
temp 86. We found the resident
buddha statue and rubbed its head
and belly for good luck. The highlight
of this dive was a
beautiful green sea turtle who
rose up to the surface to breathe,
then came back down to greet us.
Numerous lobsters were poking out of
the ledge along with queen angelfish
and a school of large blue
parrotfish.
Hearty excellent diver welcome to new
members Sam & Jessica Bochenek
making their second dive with us, and
John Lutkehaus making his first
dive.
