What did we
see at the bridge on Saturday? A Goliath
grouper, spotted eagle ray and a manatee!
Bridge West End: Seas
<1 foot, depth 16, water temp 82 degrees, mild
current at end of dive. Sightings included Goliath
grouper, manatee, spotted eagle ray, numerous
schooling Atlantic spade fish, arrow crab, parrot
fish, grunts, blue tang, hermit crab, large
cushion sea stars, juvenile lobsters, juvenile
French angel fish, juvenile spotted drum, swarming
minnows, banded coral shrimp, sharp tailed eel,
lionfish, juvenile queen angel fish, pork fish,
twospot cardinalfish, Florida swimming crab,
yellow stingray.
Rachel and Lon split the group of ten into two
smaller groups of five for maximum personal
attention and social distancing. The park was full
of divers, but it seems the general public has yet
to return.
