Reef Report

Our group of divers today enjoyed a great day of fun, lunch, and three great dives on the reef outside of Boynton Beach. Conditions were great with flat seas, warm water, and lots of sightings, despite not so great visibility.  

 

Dive 1 -  Cronins depth 40 to 65 ft, flat seas, mild current, viz 25ft, water temp 86. Dropped in three groups and descended to the top of the ledge to drift north with the current in search of turtles. Sightings included a few loggerhead turtles, moray eel, lobsters, and different types of parrot fish.

 

Dive 2 -  Delray Ledges depth up to 50 ft, flat seas, mild current, viz 18 ft, water temp 86. Dropped again to start the descent to the ledge and drifted with the current. Sightings included more turtles for the lucky ones, stingrays, and the usual reef fish between the corals.

 

Dive 3 -  Tumbled Rocks depth up to 50 ft, flat seas, mild current, viz 18 ft, water temp 86. The last dive included the last sighting of turtles and an 8-10 ft bull shark
