Jupiter with Kyalami Charters


Dive 1 - Leigh's Ledge: Seas 2 feet, depth 86, water temp 81 degrees, strong current, visibility 30 feet. Sightings included Goliath grouper, Southern stingray, loggerhead and hawksbill turtles, large green moray eels,

Dive 2 - Loggerhead: Seas 2 feet, depth 76, water temp 81 degrees, strong current, visibility 30 feet. True to its namesake, many loggerheads were spotted on this dive, along with a pair of huge Southern stingrays, several large green moray eels, biomass of schooling grunts. Magnificent dive!

South Tavernier with Florida Keys Dive Center


Thanks to all our ADA divers today, they were very conscientious and used face coverings before, between, and after dives. Good job, we all felt safe.

Dive 1 - Davis Ledge: Seas 1’, depth 20’, vis 40’, mild current, water temp 82 degrees.
Sightings include lion fish, swarming yellow tails, scorpion fish, sergeant major fish
Protecting their egg nests, pork fish, spotted drum, balloon fish, cow fish.

Dive 2 - Pleasure Reef: Seas 1’, depth 30’, vis 70’, no current, water temp 82 degrees.
Sightings include 5 or 6 nurse sharks, countless midwater yellow tail, shoals of schoolmasters, blue parrots, green parrots, box fish, rock beauty fish, French angels, butterfly fish.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY FOR FLORIDA KEYS DIVES
The Keys have opened, and traffic is again a problem. Members driving from Dade County and points north, Should allow an extra 25-40 minutes to their expected driving times. Expect slow-downs and delays, and the Florida Turnpike is still under construction in many areas. Arrive alive and on time.

THIRSTY DIVERS - STAY HYDRATED
In an effort to combat the coronavirus, most dive boats have eliminated the communal drinking water coolers. Many will not have any drinks available to divers. Bring your own. Most boats will provide coolers with ice in which you may store your drinks.
