Reef East –
depth 20', visibility 60+, water
temp 88, seas >1 foot.
What a spectacular day for
diving! The conditions were
absolutely perfect, and the sea
life were not shy. We saw
several huge green moray eels,
some free swimming. Several
nurse sharks were spotted, along
with large groups of midnight
and blue parrot fish. A large
school of Bermuda chubs circled
around the divers as we were
getting ready to board the boat,
one of them taking a friendly
nibble on a diver's
finger.
Dive 2: Alligator Reef
West – depth
24', visibility 60+, water temp
88, seas >1 foot. This day
could have been called the
Grouper/Moray day. We spotted
several different species of
grouper, including lots of
Nassau and even a Goliath! There
were even more nurse sharks at
this spot, and barracudas
galore. The highlight of the
dive was a large minnow bait
ball darting around to avoid the
groupers lurking under the
ledges. The dive crew and
captain were impeccable as
always, what a great day of
diving!
