Dive
1: Snappers Ledge
Wind 9-kts, Seas 2-3', Depth
30’, water temp 85F, vis 25’,
Current slight to
none. As the group
descended into the water, we
were instantly surrounded by
massive schools of snappers,
living up to the site’s name.
But the excitement didn’t stop
there! We encountered a
stunning array of reef
residents—like a sneaky
scorpion fish that flashed its
vibrant fins, a massive green
moray lurking in the shadows,
a few playful crabs, and
lobsters galore who seemed to
know they were in a safe
haven. And the best surprise?
A beautiful patch of staghorn
coral, a rare and hopeful
sight in today’s oceans!

2: Pickles Reef
Wind 9-kts, Seas 2-3', Depth
30’, water temp 85F, vis 25’,
Current slight. As the
boat cruised from Snapper's
Ledge to Pickles Reef, our
next dive spot, the excitement
kicked up a notch! A playful
pod of dolphins suddenly
appeared, riding the waves
alongside the starboard side
of the vessel, putting on an
incredible show. When the
group finally reached Pickles
Reef, the underwater adventure
continued! Divers explored a
vibrant scene filled with
marine life—crabs, snappers,
angel fish, and damsel
fish—all thriving among the
vast field of shipwreck debris
from vessels that once sailed
these waters. We weaved
through channels between reef
mounds, discovering the
inhabitants of this underwater
playground!
