End of Season BBQ at Blue Heron Bridge


Unlike last year, a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze and warm temperatures awaited us for our annual BBQ and picnic at the Blue Heron Bridge. Seas less than 1', visibility 30' depth 17, water temp 82. Sightings included spotted eagle ray, sharp tailed eel, numerous lobsters, clouds of minnows, scorpionfish, arrow crabs, stone crab, scrawled filefish, numerous cushion sea stars, nine-arm starfish, barracuda, moon jellies, parrotfish, doctorfish, queen angelfish, cowfish, schooling Atlantic spadefish, hogfish.

Key Largo with Island Ventures


Dive 1: French Reef Christmas Tree -Seas 1-2, visibility 35 feet. Large baracuda, large blue parrot fish, schooling yellow tails, moray eels, glass sweepers in swim through. 

Dive 2: French Reef Turtle Ledge-Seas 1, visibility 35 feet. Large lobster, schooling grunts, hog snapper and colorful parrot fish.

Active Divers Fall BBQ

Active Divers Fall Season End to the Bar B Que was held at Phil Foster Park, a/k/a Blue Heron Bridge on Halloween Day, October 31, 2020. We had 35 members attend, with f
ifteen divers coming bright and early to dive the bridge.

Thanks to our local dive shops who generously donated raffle prizes!
