Dive
1: Pete's Reef - The
seas were less than two feet with a moderate
current. Visibility was a healthy 40+ feet.
This was a shallow dive (less than 25 feet) on
a large patch reef. The reef had an
abundance of schooling grunt, chub, and
yellowtail snapper. We also were treated to
many tropical reef fish, several nurse sharks,
and and a couple of undersized spiny lobsters.
Dive 2: Shark
Ledge - The
seas were similar to the first dive, although
the visibility was slightly less than 40 feet.
Once again we found schooling
grunt, chub, and yellowtail snapper, as well as
numerous
tropicals, a nurse shark, and a couple of green
moray eels, After the dive, we were treated to
fresh pineapple slices by the crew.
In
addition to the eight Active Divers, there
were four snorkelers, so having sufficient
space was not a problem. This was a great
end-of-season dive!
